Trans-SEC - Innovating Strategies to Safeguard Food Security using Technology and Knowledge Transfer: a people-centered approach


DITSL is offering the opportunity for a committed, responsible and engaged person to conduct a practical internship of five-six months with us, within the frame of the Trans-SEC project. The intern will receive supervision to develop conceptual knowledge, practical insights and field experience in the context of a Participatory Action Research project in Tanzania. The central part of the internship is a field stay, during which the intern will facilitate Participatory Video (PV) workshops and co-produce videos.

Overall project aims and approach:

Within Trans-SEC (, DITSL specializes in transdisciplinary approaches for participatory action research within low external input farming systems in Tanzania. The emphasis here is on farmer group capacity development, enhancement of participatory innovation processes, and support for the sustainability and social inclusiveness of innovation processes through collaborative learning ( > Research > Trans-SEC).
