Witzenhausen Thesis Research Grant (WTRG) - Kurzzeitstipendien für einen Forschungsaufenthalt im Ausland
DITSL gives out grants for a minimum of three and a maximum of four months for a stay abroad to support students enroled in the University of Kassel's study programmes in carrying out field research for their thesis work (master thesis or diploma thesis) in developing countries in the tropics and subtropics. WTRG is a personal grant, which enables the grantees to gather living- and working-experience in the development oriented research in developing countries in the tropics and subtropics.
Applicants have to submit a project proposal for their thesis research. The research must contribute to achieving the UN Millennium Developments Goals, particularly goal no. 1 "eradicate extreme poverty & hunger" and /or their impacts.
